Biography
Robert Beltran is an American actor. He graduated from California State University, Fresno with a degree in theatre arts and began his screen career with a small role in the 1981 film Zoot Suit.
His breakthrough came in 1982 as Raoul Mendoza in the black comedy Eating Raoul. Beltran is best known for portraying Commander Chakotay on the television series Star Trek: Voyager (1995–2001), for which he received the Nosotros Golden Eagle Award for Outstanding Actor in a Television Series in 1997. He has also worked extensively in theatre and co-founded the East LA Classic Theater Group.
