Biography
Robert East, also credited as Robert Gwyn East, is a Welsh actor. He was born on 7 July 1943 in Porthcawl, Wales.
East has worked in theatre and television since the late 1960s. He wrote the play Incident at Tulse Hill, first produced at the Hampstead Theatre in December 1981 and directed by Harold Pinter. He is known for playing Harry, Prince of Wales, in the BBC series Blackadder (1983). Other television roles include appearances in Dave Allen at Large (1973–1979), Yes Minister (1982), 'Allo 'Allo! (1991), Spooks (2008) and The Witness for the Prosecution (2016). His film credits include Figures in a Landscape (1970) and Jojo Rabbit (2019).
