Biography
Robert Engelman, also credited as Bob Engelman, is an American film and television producer. He began his career in the 1980s as a second assistant director and first assistant director on films including Footloose (1984), Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985), A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) and Steel Magnolias (1989). He later worked as a unit production manager and line producer before moving into producing roles.
Engelman has produced or executive produced films such as The Mask (1994), Mortal Kombat (1995), Blade (1998), Mystery Men (1999), Little Nicky (2000) and Scooby-Doo (2002). His television credits include the documentary Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project (2007), for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award. He has also worked on later projects including the Dolphin Tale films.
