Biography

Robert K. Weiss is an American film and television producer. A graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale, he began his career as producer on Kentucky Fried Movie (1977).

Weiss produced The Blues Brothers (1980) for director John Landis. He collaborated with the ZAZ team of Jim Abrahams, David Zucker and Jerry Zucker on Dragnet (1987) and the Naked Gun films, and produced Scary Movie 3 (2003) and Scary Movie 4 (2006).

He co-created the science-fiction television series Sliders (1995–2000). Weiss has served as President and Vice Chairman of the X Prize Foundation since 1996.
