Biography
Robert Katims was an American actor. Born on 22 April 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, he attended Brooklyn College and worked for thirty years selling law books before beginning his acting career.
His film credits include Martin Klein in Broadcast News (1987), Cody in Presumed Innocent (1990), Gerald Auerbach in Zero Effect (1998), Ray Hott in Mulholland Drive (2001) and the dry cleaner in Down with Love (2003). On television he appeared in episodes of Seinfeld, Law & Order, Roswell and House, and played Hal Roth in the series Relativity (1996–97).
Katims was the father of television producer and playwright Jason Katims. He died on 13 July 2010 in Santa Monica, California.
