Biography
Robert Lantos is a Hungarian-Canadian film producer. Born in Budapest in 1949, he immigrated to Canada in 1963 after time in Uruguay. He studied literature at McGill University, graduating with a BA in 1970 and an MA in 1972.
After founding the distribution company Vivafilm and the production company RSL Entertainment, Lantos co-founded Alliance Communications Corporation, serving as its chairman and CEO until 1998. He now produces through Serendipity Point Films. His credits include Eastern Promises (2007), eXistenZ (1999), The Sweet Hereafter (1997), Crash (1996), Barney's Version (2010) and Crimes of the Future (2022). He is a Member of the Order of Canada.
