Biography
Robert Pine is an American actor. Born Granville Whitelaw Pine on 10 July 1941 in New York City, he graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1963 and began his career in 1964.
He is best known for playing Sgt. Joseph Getraer on the television series CHiPs (1977–1983). Across his career he has appeared in more than 400 television episodes. Pine voiced the Bishop in the animated film Frozen (2013) and has taken guest roles in series including Grey's Anatomy, The Office and Independence Day (1996).
He has been married to actress Gwynne Gilford since 1969; they have two children, including actor Chris Pine.
