Biography

Robert Q. Lovett was an American film editor. He worked on films and television series from 1963 to 2006, including three episodes of the series Kojak (1976–1977) and later television films in the franchise.

His film credits include The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974), The Cotton Club (1984), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing, Hammett (1982), Just Before Dawn (1981) and A Bronx Tale (1993). He also contributed to earlier productions such as Cotton Comes to Harlem (1970) and Rachel, Rachel (1968).

Lovett died on 18 August 2022.
