Biography
Rosalind Ayres is an English actress, director and producer. She was born on 7 December 1946 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, and has been active since 1970.
Ayres is known for playing Lucy, Lady Duff-Gordon in the 1997 film Titanic and Elsa Lanchester in Gods and Monsters (1998). Her other credits include From Beyond the Grave (1974), episodes of Midsomer Murders (1997) and Father Brown (2013), and Hampstead (2017). She has also appeared in television series such as Coronation Street and Outnumbered.
With her husband, actor Martin Jarvis (whom she married in 1974 and with whom she has frequently co-starred), Ayres runs the radio production company Jarvis & Ayres Productions and has directed and produced audio plays for BBC Radio 4 and other companies.
