Biography
Rubén Ochandiano is a Spanish actor. Born on 3 October 1980 in Madrid, he is the nephew of actress and stage director Amelia Ochandiano. He trained under Juan Carlos Corazza and Manuel Morón.
Ochandiano began in television with roles in series such as Médico de familia and Periodistas, before a regular part as Marcos in the youth series Al salir de clase (1999–2000). His film debut came in Flowers from Another World (1999). He received a Goya Award nomination for Best New Actor for his performance in Broken Silence (2001).
He is known for film roles including Ray X in Broken Embraces (2009), Zanc in Biutiful (2010), Rolando in Che: Part Two (2008), and Gonzalo Mora Jr. in The Infiltrator (2016). Ochandiano has also worked in theatre as an actor and director, and was invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2018.
