Biography

Sam Benson was an American costume designer and wardrobe supervisor. He worked for William Fox and 20th Century Fox from 1925 until his death.

His credits include costume design on The Ox-Bow Incident (1943) and wardrobe supervisor or master roles on The Grapes of Wrath (1940), Laura (1944), Lifeboat (1944), Leave Her to Heaven (1945), My Darling Clementine (1946), The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947), Pickup on South Street (1953), Niagara (1953) and River of No Return (1954). He was also credited as Little Sammy.
