Biography
Sam Johnson (born 10 July 1963) is an American television writer and producer. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he graduated from Omaha Central High School in 1981 and from Yale University with a BA in English in 1985. He began his career writing for MTV's Beavis and Butt-Head and Daria.
Johnson frequently collaborates with writing partner Chris Marcil. Their credits include writing and producing on NewsRadio, Frasier (where he contributed as writer, story editor and later executive producer on the final seasons), How I Met Your Mother, Hot in Cleveland and What We Do in the Shadows. He has received multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for his work on Frasier and What We Do in the Shadows.
