Biography
Sam Robards is an American actor. He was born on 16 December 1961 in New York City, the son of actors Jason Robards and Lauren Bacall.
Robards is known for his film roles as Jim Berkley in American Beauty (1999) and Henry Swinton in A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001). Other film credits include Casualties of War (1989) and The Art of Getting By (2011). He has appeared in television series such as Gossip Girl and Blue Bloods.
On stage, Robards received a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in the 2002 Broadway revival of The Man Who Had All the Luck.
