Biography
Saniyya Sidney is an American actress. Born on 30 October 2006 in Los Angeles, California, she began acting in 2012 with a role in the short film The Babysitters.
Sidney gained recognition in 2016 with appearances in the miniseries Roots as young Kizzy, the horror series American Horror Story: Roanoke as Flora Harris, and the films Fences as Raynell Maxson and Hidden Figures as Constance Johnson. Subsequent roles include Amy Bellafonte in the series The Passage (2019), Lila in Fast Color (2018), Venus Williams in King Richard (2021), and Sasha Obama in The First Lady (2022). She has received nominations for Black Reel Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, an NAACP Image Award, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
