Biography
Scott Spiegel (1957–2025) was an American screenwriter, film director, producer and actor. He co-wrote the screenplay for Evil Dead II (1987) with Sam Raimi, a childhood friend from Birmingham, Michigan, where they attended Wylie E. Groves High School.
Spiegel appeared in several films directed by Raimi and others, including small roles in The Evil Dead (1981), Darkman (1990) and the Spider-Man films. He wrote and directed Intruder (1989) and From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money (1999), and co-wrote The Rookie (1990). He formed the production company Raw Nerve with Eli Roth and Boaz Yakin, which produced Hostel (2005).
