Biography
Sean Sullivan (1921–1985) was a Canadian actor. Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he began his career after a production of Golden Boy in which he appeared reached the finals of the Dominion Drama Festival. He performed in Canadian theatre and made numerous appearances in CBC Television anthology series including Playbill, CBC Summer Theatre, Folio and General Motors Theatre.
Sullivan is noted for his stage and television work in David French's play Of the Fields, Lately, for which he won an ACTRA Award in 1977 as Best Television Actor for the CBC film. His film roles include Dr Roy Michaels in 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), Buddy in Atlantic City (1980) and Herb Smith in The Dead Zone (1983). He won a Canadian Film Award for Springhill (1972) and received a posthumous Genie Award nomination for The Boy in Blue (1986).
