Biography
Sharon Jones (1956–2016) was an American singer and occasional actress. She was the lead singer of the soul and funk band Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings.
Jones contributed music to the television series Damages (2007). Her acting credits include the role of Lila in The Great Debaters (2007), Wedding Singer #1 in The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), and a guest appearance as herself in Marvel's Luke Cage (2016). She was born in Augusta, Georgia, and died in Cooperstown, New York.
