Biography
Sheila Atim is a Ugandan-British actress, singer, composer and playwright. She was born in Uganda in January 1991 and moved to the United Kingdom as an infant.
Atim made her professional stage debut in 2013 or 2014 at Shakespeare's Globe in the musical The Lightning Child, which she co-wrote with her teacher Ché Walker. She has won two Laurence Olivier Awards for stage work, including Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical for Girl from the North Country. She was appointed MBE in 2019 for services to drama.
Her screen credits include Bruised (2021) as Bobbi Buddhakan Berroa, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) as Sara, Pinocchio (2022) as Signora Vitelli, The Woman King (2022) as Amenza, The Underground Railroad (2021) as Mabel, and voice roles in Mufasa: The Lion King (2024) as Ajarry and Marvel Zombies (2025) as Sara.
