Biography
So Yong Kim (김소영) is a Korean-American film and television director. Born in 1968 in Busan, South Korea, she is known for her independent feature films In Between Days (2006), Treeless Mountain (2008), For Ellen (2012) and Lovesong (2016). Her debut feature received a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
Kim has directed episodes of numerous television series, including Queen Sugar (2016), Transparent (2016), Halt and Catch Fire (2017), The Good Fight (2017), Tales from the Loop (2020) and Dr. Death (2021). She is married to filmmaker Bradley Rust Gray.
