Biography
Stacie Passon (born 1 October 1969) is an American film and television director, screenwriter and producer. Born in Detroit, Michigan, she graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 1993 and began her career directing and producing commercials before moving into feature films and episodic television.
Her debut feature Concussion (2013) premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won a Teddy Award Jury Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival. She has since directed the feature We Have Always Lived in the Castle (2018) and multiple episodes of series including Transparent, Halt and Catch Fire, Billions, The Punisher, American Gods, Dickinson, The Morning Show and Your Friends & Neighbors (2025).
Concussion received nominations for the Gotham Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Director and the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature, and won a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Film – Limited Release.
