Biography

Sofian El Fani is a Tunisian cinematographer. Born on 28 January 1974, he has worked on feature films, television and shorts, often with French and Arab directors.

His credits include Blue Is the Warmest Colour (2013), Timbuktu (2014), It Must Be Heaven (2019), In Safe Hands (2018) and Pachinko (2022). He received César Award nominations for best cinematography for Blue Is the Warmest Colour and won for Timbuktu. He is the brother of director Nadia El Fani.
