Biography
Spencer Hudnut is an American television writer and producer. He began his career as a writers’ assistant on the CBS series Unforgettable (2011) and later wrote and produced episodes of the show. He went on to write for Crossing Lines (2013) and The Blacklist: Redemption (2017).
Hudnut joined SEAL Team (2017) at its launch and rose to become showrunner from its third season, overseeing the series through its seven seasons until its conclusion in 2024. He created and served as showrunner on the CBS neo-Western series Marshals (2026), a spin-off in the Yellowstone franchise.
Hudnut is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and USC’s Peter Stark Producing Program. He previously worked as an advertising sales executive at CBS and NBC.
