Biography
Andy Wolk is an American television and theatre director and writer. He began his career in New York theatre, writing and directing plays performed at venues including La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club, the Manhattan Theatre Club, Ensemble Studio Theatre and Actors Theatre of Louisville. He holds an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University and has taught at institutions including Brooklyn College, the New School, Lincoln Center and the Sundance Institute.
Wolk's television directing credits include episodes of Tales from the Crypt, The Sopranos (the 1999 episode 'Boca'), The Practice, Medium, Ugly Betty, Criminal Minds, Gossip Girl, Manifest, SEAL Team and Station 19, as well as numerous television films. He won a Writers Guild of America Award in 1989 for writing the Great Performances episode 'Tales from the Hollywood Hills: Natica Jackson' and has received Directors Guild of America nominations.
