Biography
Stefan Ciupek is a German cinematographer, camera operator and colourist. Born on 24 March 1976 in Zossen, he began working in digital cinematography in the early 2000s. On Alexander Sokurov’s Russian Ark (2002) he served as one of the editors, camera supervisor and colourist.
Ciupek has contributed to numerous international productions, often in digital imaging and second-unit roles. His credits include camera operator on Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and 127 Hours (2010). He has worked as director of photography on Guns Akimbo (2020), The Super (2018), Rumours (2024) and Vampire Academy (2024), among other films.
