Biography

Stephen Collins is an American former actor. He was born on 1 October 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa, and graduated cum laude from Amherst College.

Collins is known for playing Eric Camden on the television series 7th Heaven (1996–2007) and Commander Willard Decker in Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979). His film roles include Hugh Sloan in All the President's Men (1976), Aaron Paradis in The First Wives Club (1996), Ambassador Walker in Blood Diamond (2006) and Mr Harter in The Three Stooges (2012). He also appeared in Brewster's Millions (1985) and Because I Said So (2007).

His acting career ended in 2014 after he confessed to sexual abuse against multiple minors.
