Biography
Stephen Maier is a cinematographer, also credited as Steve Maier. He has worked as a camera operator and first assistant camera on numerous feature films, including Deadpool (2016), Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), 2012 (2009), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Elysium (2013), Warcraft (2016), Star Trek Beyond (2016), Everything, Everything (2017) and Alpha (2018).
Maier has served as director of photography on television series including Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018–2020), Superman & Lois (2021–2023) and Stick (2025). He is a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers and has received Leo Award nominations for best cinematography in a dramatic series for his work on Superman & Lois and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He has also directed an episode of Superman & Lois.
