Biography
Steve Pendleton (16 September 1908 – 3 October 1984) was an American film and television actor. Born in New York City, he began his career on the stage in the 1920s before moving into film, appearing in more than 150 productions between 1923 and 1976.
He had supporting roles in films including The Grapes of Wrath (1940), Rio Grande (1950) as Capt. Prescott, The Caine Mutiny (1954), Ocean's Eleven (1960) and Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970). Pendleton frequently played law-enforcement officers or military figures. On television he appeared in numerous western series, with multiple episodes of The Roy Rogers Show and The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, as well as a recurring role as Mr Bennett on Julia (1968–1970).
