Biography
Steve Schwartz is a film producer and president of Chockstone Pictures, which he co-founded with his wife Paula Mae Schwartz.
His producing credits include The Road (2009), The Tree of Life (2011, co-executive producer), Killing Them Softly (2012), The Host (2013), The Counselor (2013), Serena (2014), All the Old Knives (2022) and Anniversary (2025). He has also produced theatre, including the 2015 Deaf West Theatre revival of Spring Awakening.
Schwartz holds an MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Bowdoin College. Before entering film, he worked as a speechwriter for Jack Welch at GE and co-founded the technology public relations firm Schwartz Communications in 1990.
