Biography
Steve Trafford is a British television writer and playwright. He contributed episodes to Between the Lines (1992), which earned him a Writers’ Guild Award, and to Midsomer Murders (2005–2012). Other television credits include regular work on The Bill, as well as episodes of Wycliffe (1994–1996), Heartbeat (1994), The Knock (1994), Rockface (2002) and Emmerdale.
He has also written for the stage, including a translation of Ay Carmela (2006) and adaptations such as Hymn to Love for BBC Radio 3 and Marie for BBC Radio 4. His first television script was the 1987 Channel 4 film T. Dan Smith.
