Biography

Steven Waddington is an English film and television actor. He was born on 30 December 1967 in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

He trained at East 15 Acting School in Loughton, Essex, and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company, performing at Stratford and the Barbican. His screen debut came in 1991 as the title character in Derek Jarman's Edward II. He played Major Duncan Heyward in Michael Mann's The Last of the Mohicans (1992) and later appeared in films including 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992), Sleepy Hollow (1999), The Hole (2001) and The Imitation Game (2014), as well as television series such as The Tudors (2007) and Slow Horses (2022).

Waddington is married to actress Jane March.
