Biography
Stewart Whelan is a cinematographer whose credits include second-unit work on the feature film Warcraft (2016) and episodes of the Netflix series Avatar: The Last Airbender (2024). He has also served as director of photography on the television series Fire Country (2022–2025), A Million Little Things (2019–2021) and Charmed (2018).
Earlier in his career, Whelan worked in the camera department on numerous features, including as camera loader on Braveheart (1995), first assistant camera on Cold Mountain (2003), Dreamcatcher (2003), Juno (2007) and The Hurt Locker (2008), and second-unit director of photography on Spectral (2016). He is a member of the International Society of Cinematographers.
