Biography

Stuart Wilson is an English actor of film, television and stage. Born Stuart Conan Wilson on 25 December 1946 in Guildford, Surrey, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. After early stage work with the Royal Shakespeare Company and repertory theatre, his first major television role was as Johann Strauss II in the 1972 ITV series The Strauss Family. He later appeared in British series including The Jewel in the Crown and Prime Suspect, and played Alan Stewart in the 1979 serial Running Blind.

Wilson transitioned to Hollywood in the late 1980s and became known for supporting and villainous roles. His film credits include Jack Travis in Lethal Weapon 3 (1992), Julius Beaufort in The Age of Innocence (1993), Don Rafael Montero in The Mask of Zorro (1998), and Dr Robin Hatcher in Hot Fuzz (2007). He has also appeared in The Rock (1996), Enemy of the State (1998) and Vertical Limit (2000).
