Biography
Susie Conklin is a British screenwriter and television producer. She began her career in script editing and continuity, working on series including Pride and Prejudice (1995), State of Play (2003), Supervolcano (2005) and Middlemarch (1994).
She co-created the BBC series Cranford (2007–2009) with Sue Birtwistle, also serving as script executive. Conklin has written episodes of The Musketeers (2014–2015) and A Discovery of Witches (2021), and acted as lead writer and executive producer on series 2 of Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale (2025). She has contributed teleplays to projects such as A Gentleman in Moscow (2024).
Conklin has co-authored books on television adaptations, including The Making of Pride and Prejudice (1995) and The Making of Jane Austen's Emma (1996).
