Biography
Terry Ackland-Snow is a British production designer and art director. Born on 12 December 1943 in London, he began his career in the 1960s as a junior draughtsman and progressed through art department roles on numerous films and television productions.
He is credited as art director or supervising art director on films including The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), Superman II (1980), The Dark Crystal (1982), Aliens (1986), The Living Daylights (1987) and Batman (1989). He served as production designer on Spies Like Us (1985) and several television series such as Inspector Morse (1990–1993). Ackland-Snow founded Film Design International to provide training in art direction and draughtsmanship, and has served as chairman of the British Film Designers Guild.
