Biography

Terry Becker (5 August 1921 – 30 December 2014) was an American actor, director and producer. Born in New York City, he began his career as an actor with guest roles on series including Perry Mason, Gunsmoke, Bonanza and The Twilight Zone (as Jagger). He is best known for portraying Chief Francis Ethelbert Sharkey in 71 episodes of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1965–1968).

Becker later moved into directing and producing. He directed episodes of Room 222, The Brady Bunch, Mission: Impossible, MASH and other series, and directed and produced the 1974 film The Thirsty Dead. He also worked as an associate producer on Room 222* and formed O'Connor-Becker Productions with actor Carroll O'Connor in 1973.
