Biography
Tessa Blake is an American television director and writer. She was born on 12 December 1969 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Blake has directed episodes of series including Veronica Mars (2019), Riverdale (2017), American Horror Story (2011), The Blacklist (2013), iZombie (2015), Once Upon a Time (2011), The Rookie (2018), Station 19 (2018), 9-1-1 (2018) and Matlock (2024). She has also directed feature films such as If I Tell You (2024) and Boundary Waters (2024).
She was selected for the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. Blake has directed stage work for Naked Angels Theater Company and the Atlantic Theater Company, and is a founding advisor of The Moth.
