Biography
David Howell Evans, known professionally as The Edge, is a musician and songwriter born on 8 August 1961 in Barking, Essex, England. He is best known as the lead guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist of the rock band U2.
The Edge has contributed to film music, co-writing the theme song for GoldenEye (1995) with Bono, performed by Tina Turner. He has also appeared in documentaries and other productions, including It Might Get Loud (2008) and episodes of The Simpsons (1989).
