Biography
Thea Sharrock is a British theatre and film director. In 2001, at the age of 24, she became artistic director of London’s Southwark Playhouse, the youngest person to hold such a position in British theatre.
She made her feature film debut directing the adaptation Me Before You (2016). Subsequent films include The One and Only Ivan (2020), Wicked Little Letters (2023), The Beautiful Game (2024) and Ladies First (2026). Her television credits include episodes of The Hollow Crown (2012), for which she also wrote the screenplay for one episode, and Call the Midwife (2013–2014).
