Biography
Timothy M. Rose (also credited as Tim Rose) is an American actor and puppeteer. He was born on 17 July 1956 in Pittsfield, Illinois.
Rose is best known for performing as Admiral Ackbar in Return of the Jedi (1983), a role he reprised in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017). He also puppeteered Sy Snootles and Salacious Crumb in the 1983 film. His other credits include head operator on Howard the Duck (1986), work on The Dark Crystal (1982) and Return to Oz (1985), and additional Muppet performer duties on The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992). He has worked on various Lucasfilm and Jim Henson Company productions.
