Biography
Tom McCamus is a Canadian stage, film and television actor. He was born on 25 July 1955 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and raised in London, Ontario. He trained at the University of Windsor, earning a BFA in theatre, and began his career with the Young Company at the Grand Theatre in London before moving to Toronto.
McCamus has performed extensively at the Stratford Festival and Shaw Festival. His film roles include Sam Burnell in The Sweet Hereafter (1997), for which he received a Genie Award nomination, Henry Adler in I Love a Man in Uniform (1993), for which he won the Genie Award for Best Actor, and Leo in Room (2015). On television he is known for Mason Eckhart in Mutant X (2001–04) and Dr. Alan Nealon in Orphan Black (2013). He is married to actress Chick Reid.
