Biography
Tony Danza, born Anthony Salvatore Iadanza, is an American actor. He played the boxer Tony Banta on the television series Taxi (1978–1983).
Danza is also known for starring as Tony Micelli on the sitcom Who's the Boss? (1984–1992), for which he received an Emmy Award nomination and four Golden Globe Award nominations. In 1998 he won the People's Choice Award for Favourite Male Performer in a New Television Series for his work on The Tony Danza Show. Before his acting career he was a professional boxer and earned a degree from the University of Dubuque.
