Biography
Trevor Bardette (born Terva Gaston Hubbard) was an American film and television actor. He trained at Oregon State University, graduating in 1925 with a degree in mechanical engineering, and later earned a master of science degree at Northwestern University. He began his screen career in 1937 with the western Borderland and appeared in over 170 films and 70 television episodes until 1970.
Bardette played supporting roles, often uncredited, in films including Jezebel (1938), Gone with the Wind (1939), The Grapes of Wrath (1940), The Big Sleep (1946) and Gun Crazy (1950), in which he portrayed Sheriff Boston. On television he appeared in series such as The Twilight Zone, Bonanza and The Andy Griffith Show, and played Newman Haynes Clanton in 21 episodes of The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp.
