Biography
Trevor Peacock was an English actor and songwriter. He was born on 19 May 1931 in Tottenham, London, and died on 8 March 2021.
He began his career as a songwriter in the 1960s, writing hits including "Mrs Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" for Herman's Hermits. He later worked extensively in theatre, appearing with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre, before becoming known for his television roles.
Peacock played Jim Trott in the BBC series The Vicar of Dibley from 1994, appearing in every episode of the original run and subsequent specials. Other credits include roles in Hamlet (1990), Highlander: The Series (1992) and Quartet (2012).
