Biography

Tyrese Gibson is an American actor and singer. Born Tyrese Darnell Gibson on 30 December 1978 in Los Angeles, California, he began his entertainment career with modelling and a recording contract with RCA Records. His self-titled debut album was released in 1998.

Gibson made his feature-film debut with a starring role in John Singleton's Baby Boy (2001). He gained wider recognition as Roman Pearce in the Fast & Furious franchise, appearing in 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), Fast Five (2011), Fast & Furious 6 (2013), Furious 7 (2015), The Fate of the Furious (2017), F9 (2021) and Fast X (2023). He also played Robert Epps in the first three Transformers films (2007–2011) and appeared in Four Brothers (2005) and Morbius (2022). As a singer he has released several albums and received Grammy nominations.
