Biography
Vanessa Taylor is an American screenwriter and television producer. Born on 24 September 1970 in Boulder, Colorado, she attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts and performed with The Groundlings improv group.
Her television credits include writing for Alias (2001), Everwood (2002) and Game of Thrones (2011), and she co-created the series Jack & Bobby. In film she wrote the screenplay for Hope Springs (2012) and co-wrote Divergent (2014). She co-wrote the screenplay for The Shape of Water (2017) with Guillermo del Toro, receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay. Later credits include Hillbilly Elegy (2020) and Uglies (2024).
