Biography

Veronika Jenet is an Australian film editor of German origin. She trained as a civil engineer in Germany before emigrating to Australia in 1975, where she developed an interest in filmmaking through Super-8 work. She began her editing career in the 1980s and became a member of the Australian Screen Editors guild.

Jenet has collaborated extensively with director Jane Campion, editing Sweetie (1989), An Angel at My Table (1990), The Piano (1993), The Portrait of a Lady (1996) and Holy Smoke (1999). She received an Academy Award nomination, a BAFTA nomination and an AACTA Award for her work on The Piano. Other notable credits include Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002), The Black Balloon (2008), Snowtown (2011) and Lore (2012), for which she has won multiple Australian film industry awards.
