Biography
Vic Morrow, also credited as Victor Morozoff, was an American actor. Born Victor Morozoff on 14 February 1929 in the Bronx, New York City, he died on 23 July 1982 in California. He made his screen debut in Blackboard Jungle (1955) and appeared in films including King Creole (1958) and The Bad News Bears (1976).
Morrow gained prominence as Sergeant Chip Saunders in the television series Combat! (1962–1967). He took guest and supporting roles in series such as Bonanza, Mission: Impossible, Roots (1977), Charlie's Angels and Hawaii Five-O, and in films including Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry (1974).
He was married to screenwriter and actress Barbara Turner from 1957 to 1964; they had two daughters, including actress Jennifer Jason Leigh. Morrow died in a helicopter accident during filming of Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983).
