Biography

Vito Scotti was an American character actor who appeared in films and on television from the late 1940s to the mid-1990s. Born Vito Giusto Scozzari in San Francisco, he began his career with uncredited film roles and guest appearances on television series. He also performed on Broadway in the late 1930s.

He is known for roles including Nazorine in The Godfather (1972), the Italian Cat in The Aristocats (1970), and the Peddler in The Twilight Zone (1960). Scotti appeared in numerous other films such as Get Shorty (1995) and television series including Columbo, Batman (1966), Bewitched (1964) and The Addams Family (1964). He frequently played characters of various ethnic backgrounds.
