Biography
Webb Smith was an American writer and story man who worked at Walt Disney Studios from the early 1930s. He contributed to numerous animated shorts and features, including story work on Three Little Pigs (1933), Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) and Pinocchio (1940).
Smith is credited with developing the modern storyboard process at Disney, in which sequential sketches were pinned to boards to visualise narrative flow. He later worked on Fantasia (1940), Dumbo (1941) and Saludos Amigos (1942) before leaving the studio in 1942.
