Biography
Weronika Tofilska is a Polish director and screenwriter. Born in 1985 in Katowice, she trained at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School and the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, graduating in 2014. She has been based in London since then.
Tofilska is known for co-writing the screenplay for the romantic thriller Love Lies Bleeding (2024) with Rose Glass, a collaboration that began during their time at film school. She directed the first four episodes of the Netflix miniseries Baby Reindeer (2024), for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. Her earlier television work includes directing episodes of The Irregulars (2021), Hanna (2021) and His Dark Materials (2022). She has also directed and produced episodes of the forthcoming series Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen (2026).
